Due to the extreme chassis shortages being experienced nationwide, the additional cost and time involved to locate equipment have increased substantially; For Evergreen & MSC shipments, our carriers are asking for support with charging their own chassis charges, to be paid directly to them, in addition to the SSLs billing the customer directly for use of chassis. This is now becoming a standard practice, being implemented by the trucking industry, not BYC, due to the current unprecedented market conditions.
